One day, the monkey started teasing the elephant—jumping on his back, pulling his tail, and throwing fruits at him. The elephant stayed patient and ignored him.
But the monkey didn’t stop. While swinging on a tree, he slipped and fell into a muddy pit. He cried for help, but no one came forward.
Hearing his cries, the elephant rushed there. Despite being troubled earlier, he gently used his trunk to lift the monkey out.
The monkey felt ashamed. “I am sorry for troubling you,” he said.
The elephant smiled, “Kindness is stronger than mischief.”
From that day on, the monkey changed his ways and became a better friend.
Moral: Kindness can change even the naughtiest hearts.
