The Honest Cow and the Poor Farmer

In a small village, a poor farmer owned a cow who was very gentle and kind. Every day, the cow gave milk, helping the farmer survive.

One day, the farmer found a bag of gold coins near his field. Instead of keeping it, he went around the village asking whose it was.

A rich merchant claimed it. But when the bag was opened, there were fewer coins than expected. The merchant accused the farmer of stealing.

The village head decided to test the truth. The farmer’s cow calmly stood beside him, showing no fear. The merchant, however, was nervous.

Seeing this, the head realized the farmer was honest. The truth came out—the merchant had lied.

The farmer was rewarded, and his cow became a symbol of honesty.

Moral: Honesty always brings respect and reward.

The Cap seller and the Monkeys

Once upon a time there was a cap-seller staying in a small village. Everyday he was going to sell his caps in a village market. He was going through a forest. He was carrying a basket of red caps on his head. He got tired in the heat of the sun. He lay down under a tree to take rest. He put his basket on the ground. He fell asleep.

There were monkeys on that tree. They came down and took the caps. Then they climbed on the tree. When the cap-seller woke up, he was surprised to see that monkeys were wearing his caps. He became sad. He thought of a plan. He threw his own cap on the ground. The monkeys also threw down their caps. He collected his caps and went away.

Moral: Wit works where strength fails.
