In a peaceful forest, there lived a wise and kind elephant. The elephant was admired by all the animals because of its gentle nature and calm wisdom. Near the forest, there was a muddy swamp where a mischievous pig lived. The pig loved rolling in the mud and playing tricks on others.
One sunny day, as the elephant was walking toward the river to drink water, the pig jumped out of the swamp, covered in mud, and started teasing the elephant.
“Hey, elephant! You’re always so clean and boring. Why don’t you try rolling in the mud? It’s fun!” the pig laughed.
“Hey, elephant! You’re always so clean and boring. Why don’t you try rolling in the mud? It’s fun!” the pig laughed.
The elephant smiled calmly and replied, “Thank you, pig, but I enjoy being clean and fresh.” Not satisfied, the pig splashed mud all over the elephant. The animals watching gasped, expecting the elephant to get angry. But the elephant stayed calm and said, “It’s alright, pig. You can be yourself, and I’ll be myself.”
Instead of fighting back, the elephant walked to the river and washed itself until it was sparkling clean again. The pig watched, surprised. It had expected the elephant to get angry, but the elephant’s calm response left the pig curious.
“Why didn’t you fight back, elephant?” the pig asked as it waddled closer to the river.
The elephant replied with a kind smile, “Fighting back would only make me dirty, pig. It’s better to stay calm and true to who I am.” The pig felt embarrassed by its behavior and realized the wisdom in the elephant’s words. From that day on, the pig decided to respect others’ choices and be kinder. Although it still loved rolling in the mud, it stopped splashing it on others.
The animals in the forest admired the elephant even more for its patience and wisdom. The pig and the elephant became unlikely friends, teaching each other valuable lessons about respect and understanding.
Moral of the story: Stay true to yourself and rise above negativity. Kindness and patience can change hearts.
