The Wicked Wolf and The Lamb

the_wolf_and_the_lamb_storyOnce upon a time there lived a wolf with other animals. One day a young lamb was playing and jumping in the green meadow. As it was playing, it felt very thirsty. The little lamb went to a stream to drink water.

At the same time a wolf arrived to the stream to quench its thirst. When the wolf saw the lamb its mouth watered and it thought to kill the lamb with his cunning nature. So the wolf went near the lamb. The wolf pretended  to be angry and said, “Why are you making the water dirty that I am drinking?” “Oh it can’t be true, the water is flowing down from your side towards me. I think you did the muddy there” said the lamb. “How dare you to argue with me. You are as rude as when I met you a years ago.” Saying this the wolf was nearing the lamb.

Without knowing the wickedness of the wolf the lamb continued its argument, “I am just three months old. How could I met you a year before.” The wolf said, “Then it must have been your father. I’ll eat you to punish him.” Saying these words the wolf leap on the young lamb and finished its life.

Moral: Stay away from the wicked people and don't argue with them.

The Merchant and The Donkey : Moral Story for Kids

Once upon a time there lived a salt merchant in a village.  H had a donkey. He used to carry all his goods on the back of the donkey to sell in the market. They need to cross a river on the way to the market. He cared for the donkey very much. But the donkey was very lazy.

One day, the merchant had to sell loads of salt. As usual, the donkey and the merchant got down into the river to cross it. The donkey being lazy thought of a trick.

It slightly bent its legs while crossing the river. The salt bags got drenched and dissolved in water. Because of this, the load went down and the donkey became very happy since it need not carry heavy load. He did it repeatedly. 

The merchant was wise enough to know the donkey’s trick. Hence, he wanted to teach the donkey a lesson. The next day, he loaded the donkey with loads of cotton. When the cotton gets wet, it becomes heavy. The donkey without knowing this played the same trick that day also.

The cotton got wet and became very heavy. The donkey suffered a lot carrying the heavy load.

Moral: Don’t try to fool a person always. or Tit for tat.

The Eagle and The Crow : Short Story

Crow and the eagle storyOnce upon a time there lived a crow on a tree. Everyday he used to watch with utter wonder the acts of an eagle. Because eagle was flying high above 

The eagle had a nest high up on a mountain. He used to swoop down from there get hold of a rabbit and fly up again, all in one time. The crow was amazed by the feat of the eagle.

One day, he was so excited that he wanted to imitate like the eagle. So up he flew as high as he could. From there, he began to swoop down towards the rabbit standing on the ground. He came down and down. The rabbit ran away so the crow could not control himself. He crashed on the ground and broke his beak. He died instantly. 

Moral: Thoughtless imitation will end in danger.

Bear and Bees Story

The Beer and The bees
Once upon a time there was a bear living in a dense forest. He came across a log where a swarm of bees had nested to make their honey. As he snooped around, a single little bee flew out of the log to protect the swarm. Knowing that the bear would eat all the honey, the little bee stung him sharply on the nose and then disappeared into the hollow log.

The bear lost his temper in an instant, and sprang upon the log in his tooth and claws, to destroy the nest. Immediately the whole bees came out of the log and began to sting the bear from head to heel. The bear saved himself by running and diving into a pool of water.

Fox and The Turtle : Cute Inspirational Story

Once upon a time there was a fox staying in a dense forest. One day he was so hungry and search of foods. He was passing a road that situated near a pond. He saw a turtle roaming there. The hungry fox catch the turtle. To eat it, he tried to break through the solid shell to the turtle but he couldn’t break it. Hey you want to eat me then you should try by putting me in the water for w while to soften me up, suggested the shrewd turtle. 

This sounded the excellent advice to the fox. He carried his pray to the pond and immersed in the currents. The turtle, who was a superb swimmer, slid out of the fox’s paws and reemerged in the middle of the pond and laughing.

Cows and Tiger Story

There was a small village near by a jungle. There lived some cows in that village. All the cows used to go up to the jungle for grazing.

There lived a tiger in that jungle. He used to kill an animal everyday and eat it. It kills also some of the cows those came for grazing separately. This was happening for quite some time. The cows were frightened.

One day, all the cows held a meeting. An old cow said, my friends, the tiger eats one of us only because we go separately to the jungle. Now we will all be together. So tiger can't kill us.

From then on, all the cows went into the jungle in a herd. When they heard or saw the tiger, all together attacking to the tiger and fled him away.

Moral: Divided we fall and united we stand.

Two Goats and The Narrow Bridge Story

There was meadow. There was a stream end of this meadow. There was a bridge over the stream to connect the two parts of the meadow. Animals used to cross this bridge to graze on both the parts of the meadow.

Once, two goats who were grazing on either sides of the river wanted to cross the bridge at a time. But, the bridge was narrow to hold only one goat. Both the goats were so adamant to cross at the same time. This led to a quarrel among them. At the end both fell into the stream and got drowned.

There were two other goats who wanted to cross the bridge. They were both understanding in nature. They were willing to adjust. One goat squatted on the bridge while the other crossed over this goat. After that goat had crosses, the goat which had squatted got up and walked across the bridge. Thus, both the goats crossed the bridge.

Moral: Pride leads to fall and patience always wins the heart.

Lion and The Intelligent Rabbit: Moral Stories For Kids

Once upon a time there lived a lion in a forest. There was a cave and he was always hiding in that cave. He was the king of that forest. So he used to kill many animals every day for his usual meal. The animals were worried and went to discuss this with the lion king. He agreed not to kill any other animal if one of them voluntarily comes to him everyday.

This went on for long. One day, it was a rabbit’s turn. As he was on his way, he sees an old well and hatches a plan to kill the lion. He goes to the lion and tells him that there is another lion who claims to be stronger than him.

The lion, then asks the rabbit to meet the said lion. The rabbit takes him to the well and points to it saying that was where the other lion lived. The lion jumps into the well, mistaking his own reflection for the other lion and dies.

Moral: Wisdom wins might.

Grasshopper and The Ant - Short Story for Kids

Once upon a time there lived a grasshopper in a field. It was very lazy. On a bright sunny day, when an ant was working hard to collect food, the grasshopper would look at her and say, ”Why do you work so hard? Summers are for fun and games. Come, listen to my song and dance with me”. But the ant would ignore him and continue working.

As the days of winter came by, the grasshopper had nothing to eat. He begged the ant for food, but she said, ”When I worked hard, you sang. Go away, there is no food for you”. The grasshopper learned his lesson the hard way.

Moral: Work hard so you can reap the benefits tomorrow.

Wood Cutter and Water Fairy - Kids Moral stories

Once upon a time there was a woodcutter living in a small village. The village was situated near a river. He was so poor and only taking the woods from the forest and sells it for little money. One day the poor woodcutter went to the forest to cut wood. He was about to cut an oak tree when a fairy appeared and pleaded him to spare the tree. 

The woodcutter was a kind man and did not cut the tree and spare with fairy. The grateful fairy granted him three wishes. Whenever he wants to use this wishes he can use this. When he reached home he was hungry. He remembered the fairy and first wished for black pudding. At once, he saw a bowl of the finest black pudding in front of him.

The woodcutter told his wife about the fairy but she did not believe him. To test her husband’s words, she wished that the pudding would stick on her husband’s nose. Suddenly, the pudding stuck on his nose! They tried hard to pull it off but it stuck hard. The woodcutter used his last wish and wished for the pudding to come out. The pudding came off and lay on a dish. So though they had the finest pudding for dinner, they had used up all the wishes.
