Honesty is the best policy

Once upon a time there was a old man was walking towards the market for buying vegetables for his home. The market was situated 2 kilometre distance from his home. He had a bag with his hand. He was walking slowly due to his old age. Suddenly he saw wallet on the road. The wallet contained some money and a picture with an address on a paper. But he was not interested to hide the money. He just kept with his bag. On the way the owner of the wallet asked the old man, dear grandpa did you found a black wallet on this way? It has some money and my id card.

The old man said yes my dear son, I found the wallet and you just take this. I just got it from this road. I have not touched your money. Thank you. The owner of that wallet found his wallet without losing a single penny. He offered some money to the old man. But old man said my dear son you just keep that money with you and it will help for your study. The owner was happy at getting back the money and astonished at the man’s honesty. The old man said it was my duty for you my son.

Moral : Honesty is the best policy

A story about the dog and the Cows

Once upon a time there was a manger in a small village. There lived a poor woman in the village. She had a beautiful cow.  She used to eat hay from that manger. One day a herd of cows came to the manger to eat hay. They saw a dog lying on the hay of that manger.

One of the cows pleaded to dog, “Please, will you get up! We are hungry. We have to eat our food”. The dog did not take heed of it. Once again another cow pleaded, “Please, let us have our hay”. The dog snarled and the cow stepped back.

A wise cow ran up to the bull and told him the matter. The bull came and requested, “Get out, please! Let them have their food”. There was no reply. The bull became angry. He blowed loudly and stamped his legs. The dog got frightened and ran for his life.

Moral of the Story : It is not good to be a dog in a manger.

The Wisdom Cap Seller and The Monkeys

There was a cap seller lived is a small village. He creating the beautiful caps and sale it in the market. He also carried boxful of caps and moved from village to village for selling the caps. Once, after selling some caps in a village, the cap seller was crossing a patch of a jungle. He felt too tired to walk towards to his village. So, he kept his cap box and lied down under a shady tree.

In that tree there were some monkeys. They found the cap box and saw the seller wearing a cap. They came down and started picked one cap each. They started playing with the caps. After some time, the cap seller heard the clattering noise and woke up to see the empty box. He looked up and saw the caps on the monkeys.

He tried many tricks to get back the caps, but in vain. At last in utter disgust he threw down his cap. What a surprise! The next moment all the caps were flying down.

The cap seller picked up the caps and walked away happily.

Moral : Unexpected actions too can pay you.

The Queen and The Monkey Story

Once there lived a queen in a big kingdom. She was fond of jungle and animals. Her name was Sheba. She was called the queen of jungle. She was also very fond of babies. Once, she announced, “I order all animals to come to my palace with their babies. The animal who has the most beautiful baby will be awarded a prize.”

All animals came to sheba’s palace with their babies. Sheba was inspecting. She came to a monkey and said “What an ugly baby! You will not get the prize.

The baby monkey started to cry. The monkey said. “What a foolish queen she is! Who wants her prize! You are my jewel, my dear child. You are more precious than anything the sky”.

Moral: Mother's Love has no equals. 

Two Little Frogs

two-little-frogs-the-cityOnce upon a time there lived two frogs in a village with their family and friends. Once they thought to go and see the big city that was about ten miles away from the village. They talked about it for a long time, and at last they decided to see the city.

It was a hot summer day, and they soon began to feel tired. They had only gone a little way when one said to the other, “We must be nearly there. Can you see the city?” “No,” said the other frog; “but if I climb on your back I might be able to see it.” So he climbed up on the back of the other frog to see the city.

Now when the frog put up his head, his eyes could only see what was behind, and not what was in front. So he saw the village they had just left. “Can you see the city?”, asked the frog who was below. “Yes,” answered the frog who had climbed up. ” I can see it. It looks just like our village.”

Then the frogs thought that it was not worthwhile going any further. They went back and told the other frogs round the village that they had seen the city, and it was just like theirs.

Moral: Do nothing without a regard to the consequences.

The Frog and The Ox Story with Moral

Once upon a time in a hot summer day, a big Ox came down a pond to drink some water. He was thirsty and when he was about to enter the pond he crushed a young little frog into the mud. The younger one died.

All the small frogs rushed to the big old frog to tell him that their younger brother died by a big animal. On knowing this, the big frog said ”Big, was he!” and started blowing himself up. He asked the young frogs, ”Was he as big as this”, to which they replied “Much bigger”.

He puffed himself more and more and kept asking the little frogs the same question. When they declared that the Ox was much bigger, he blew and blew and swelled and swelled. Until finally, he burst.

Moral: Self-conceit leads to self-destruction.

The Bull and The Goat - Aesop Fables

Aesop_fablesOnce there was a bull lived in a village. One day it lost his way to home and entered in a big forest. There lived a lion with his family. He saw the bull from a distance. The bull was very clever and hide himself in a cave. 

Inside that cave Goatherd used to house their flocks in stormy weather and at night. It happened that one of the Goats had been left behind, and the Bull had no sooner got inside than this Goat lowered his head and made a rush at him, butting him with his horns. As the Lion was still prowling outside the entrance to the cave, the Bull had to submit to the insult.

“Do not think,” he said, “that I submit to your cowardly treatment because I am afraid of you. When that Lion leaves, I’ll teach you a lesson you won’t forget.”

Moral: It is wicked to take advantage of another’s distress.

The Cat and The Fox Story - Cute Inspirational Story

the-cat-and-the-foxOnce there a cat and a fox were traveling together. As they went along, picking up provisions on the way a stray mouse here, a fat chicken there. They began an argument to while away the time between bites. And, as usually happens when comrades argue, the talk began to get personal.

“You think you are extremely clever, don’t you?” said the Fox. “Do you pretend to know more than I? Why, I know more than thousand of tricks!”
“Well,” retorted the Cat, “I admit I know one trick only, but that one, let me tell you, is worth a thousand of yours!”

Just then, close by, they heard a hunter’s bullock cart sounds. In an instant the Cat was up a tree, hiding among the leaves.

“This is my trick,” he called to the Fox. “Now let me see what yours are worth.”
But the Fox had so many plans for escape he could not decide which one to try first. He moves away here and there with the tunnels at his heels. He doubled on his tracks, he ran at top speed, he entered a dozen burrows, but all in vain. The hunter caught him, and soon put an end to the boaster and all his tricks.

Moral: Common sense is always worth more than cunning.

The Donkey's Brain Story

Once upon a time there lived a furious lion in the forest. He had a jackal as his minister. They both always went together for hunting. The lion used to kill the animals and the jackal got his share for helping the lion then and there.

One day, the lion fell sick. He could not go out. But he was very hungry. He called the jackal and said, “Dear friend, I am hungry. But, I am too sick to hunt. You have to help me get some food”.

The jackal went off in search of prey. He found a donkey at last. He said to the donkey. “Hello, Donkey Sir! The king of the forest wants to make you his minister”. The foolish donkey was too happy to think of the plot. He followed the jackal.

The lion killed the donkey. But, before eating, he felt so thirsty. He said to the jackal, “Take care of the donkey. I will return in no time”.

As soon as the lion left, the jackal started eating the brain of the donkey. When the lion returned he found the donkey’s brain missing.

He asked the jackal, “Where is the donkey’s brain?” The jackal answered timidly, “If he had a brain would he have come here?”

MORAL: A SMALL THOUGHT SAVES A LOT 

The Sheep Skin Wolf

Once upon a time there lived a cunning wolf in a forest. The wolf was roaming in search of prey inside the forest. He came to the edge of the forest where there was a village. There he found many sheep and cattle kept  in sheds and pens. He tried many times to get a sheep. But in fear  of the shepherd’s servants, who stood around the farm the wolf never go near it.

The wolf was planning to kill a sheep. One day it found a sheep’s skin lying by its foot-path The wolf thought that it was a sheep that must have been killed by some days before. On seeing the sheep skin a wicked idea struck the wolf. He thought of wearing it and slip into the flock of sheep. He was sure that it would be easy for him to get his prey. That evening the wolf, covering himself in the sheep-skin stealthily entered the sheep’s pen. He was sure that in the night he would have a fat sheep for dinner.

On that day the shepherd had some guests for dinner. The shepherd and his wife did not expect them. So the shepherd’s wife came to the shepherd and said, “I have nothing to cook for dinner. So, kill one sheep for me.”

The shepherd called his cook and ordered him  to fetch a sheep from the pen and cook it for the dinner. The cook went into the pen. As it was late in the evening and there was no light in the pen it was dark all around. The cook could not see clearly. He just picked the wolf in the sheep-skin. With out knowing for what reason the cook was fetching, the wolf went along with him. But all of a sudden the cook cut  its head in the dark. Thus the wicked wolf met a terrible end. That night the shepherd’s guests had a delicious dinner.

MORAL: WICKED INTENTIONS MEET BAD ENDS.
